Terms & Conditions of Sales

Terms & Conditions of Sales:

Who we are
These Terms apply to purchases made via the Site. The Site is operated by Atelier Cavalier Limited (trading as Atelier Cavalier). For full company details, see Part A (Legal Notice).

 

Eligibility and territory:
We sell exclusively to customers in the United Kingdom. Prices are displayed in Pound Sterling (GBP).

 

Products:
We design and sell knee-high socks for men.

Sizing: Our sizes are supplied in EU sizing but displayed in UK sizing. We have translated EU sizes to UK sizes for display on the Site.

Care instructions: Care instructions are provided on the product label and should be followed.

 

Prices, VAT and payment:
VAT: We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged.

Delivery charges: Delivery costs are shown at checkout and detailed in our Shipping Policy:

Payment timing: Payment is taken immediately at checkout.

Payment methods: We accept card payments and PayPal (and any other methods displayed at checkout).

 

Placing an order and contract formation:
Order confirmation: When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. The contract for sale is formed when we send the order confirmation email (the “Contract”).

Order details: You are responsible for ensuring your delivery address and contact information are accurate.

 

Changes to orders:
Amendments before dispatch: Customers can request amendments up to the point the parcel has been dispatched. To request an amendment, contact contact@ateliercavalier.com.

To help us process your request, include:

  • First name and surname

  • Email address used for the order

  • Order number

  • Delivery address

  • The relevant email chain / forwarded order confirmation

 

If the parcel has already been dispatched: If your parcel has already been dispatched, changes cannot be guaranteed. Where a replacement is requested after dispatch, the original goods must be returned to us before a replacement is initiated, in line with our Returns & Refunds Policy.

 

Our right to cancel an order:
We reserve the right to cancel an order in limited circumstances, including where:

stock is unavailable; or

there is a transit disruption that means we cannot reasonably fulfil delivery.

If we cancel your order, we will notify you by email and provide a full refund to your original payment method.

 

Returns, cancellations and refunds:
Returns, cancellations and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Statutory rights: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

 

Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items:
If your goods are faulty, damaged, not as described, or unfit for purpose, you may have remedies under UK consumer law. The process and remedies (refund/replacement) are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy. Please contact contact@ateliercavalier.com and include your order number and supporting details.

 

Discount codes and promotions:
One discount at a time: discount codes cannot be combined.

Not retroactive: discount codes cannot be applied after an order has been placed.

Returns of discounted items: discounted items follow the same returns rules as non-discounted items unless expressly stated otherwise.

 

Guest checkout and accounts:
We offer guest checkout. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.

 

Fraud prevention and order refusal:
We may refuse, cancel, or place an order on hold where we reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorised payment activity, or misuse of the Site. If this happens, we will contact you using the details provided at checkout.

Complaints:
If you have a complaint, please email contact@ateliercavalier.com with “Complaint” in the subject line. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

 

Liability and consumer rights:
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

 

Governing law (sales):
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales (subject to mandatory consumer protections).

 

General legal terms:
Force majeure: We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
Assignment: We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another entity; this will not affect your rights.
Changes to these Terms: We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place your order will apply to that order.
