This week, Atelier Cavalier was written about by Taste Makers Magazine.
Now and then, someone outside these walls looks closely at what we do, and describes it back to us better than we've managed ourselves.
This week, Taste Makers Magazine, a publication devoted to the brands worth knowing before everyone else does , did exactly that.
What pleased us most was where they chose to begin. Not with the yarn, nor the founders, but with the ankle:
"Suddenly, we see his skin. The entire relationship between the trousers and the shoes feels wrong. That is what a good sock is supposed to prevent."
It is the whole idea this house was built upon, put more plainly than we have ever put it.
They closed on a thought we will happily keep: that taste has less to do with noticing what everyone else notices, and more to do with noticing what everyone else overlooks.
The full piece is theirs to tell, and worth reading in full: THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF A MAN IS HIS SOCKS
